The Role

 

 

 

FlexEnable is seeking an experienced Equipment Engineer to take a lead role in ensuring that process operations and laboratory equipment operates reliably, safely and efficiently.  This role reports into the H&S / Facilities Manager in the Engineering Team.

 

 

 

The role will incorporate a wide range of activities and responsibilities across the following areas:

 

 

 

·       To be primary contact for all cleanroom and lab equipment toolsets

 

·       To provide a timely and efficient response to all equipment breakdowns to ensure minimum downtime

 

·       To schedule and execute preventative equipment maintenance to minimise unplanned downtime

 

·       To liaise with external contractors to ensure essential breakdown repairs and planned preventative maintenance activities are completed promptly and efficiently

 

·       To gain a good engineering understanding and working knowledge of the equipment and processes for which the role is responsible

 

·       To apply knowledge and understanding to assist the continuous improvement of equipment and procedures

 

·       To provide and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP) for all equipment and processes under the control of the role

 

·       To identify and maintain appropriate stock levels of critical equipment spares, re-ordering materials and spares when required

 

The Candidate

 

Qualifications

 

·       Recognised electrical qualification e.g. City and Guilds / HNC / HND / Degree desirable

 

·       Fork lift truck licence desirable

 

 

 

Experience that will be utilised in the role

 

·       Sound working knowledge of electrical systems (vacuum systems, plasma systems, spin coaters, lasers, exposure tools)

 

·       Strong problem-solving experience demonstrating the ability to approach tasks in structured manner with tenacity to solve issues

 

·       Demonstrable experience of applying systematic approach to diagnosing and, where possible, solving equipment faults

 

·       Clean room environment experience

 

·       Computer literacy
