Join us on 25 September as we explore the issue of Diversity in Life Sciences, with a focus on Women in Research.

In the UK today there is still a long way to go before we can claim that all are truly equal. Access to education, health care and job opportunities are still dependent on all sorts of factors – postcode and geography, income, ethnicity and gender… many of these factors are linked.

Kidney Research UK have been reflecting on how this works in our world. New working styles, funding models and technologies are disrupting ‘business as usual’ – but are they creating real opportunities to be equal. Do we know what true equality actually looks and feels like, and how will we know when we’ve arrived?

We will be joined by Sandra Currie, Chief Executive at Kidney Research UK, as we discuss why there is still a lack of diversity in the Life Science sector and the subsequent loss of talent. The panel will also discuss how we can build on the successes achieved and make swifter progress.

The informal evening will begin and end with networking, drinks and canapés, giving you the opportunity to engage with like-minded peers.
