You will be a contract specialist/paralegal who is seeking a new challenge and looking to enhance their career. This role would suit a flexible, organised person with a can-do attitude and the ability to work to deadlines.
Role description
§ Involvement in a variety of contracts – including nondisclosure, supply, service, commercial and licensing agreements
§ Providing redlined recommendations on contracts and responses to RFP’s. Providing guidance on impact to relevant areas of business
§ Negotiating contracts with our clients which may be by email, telephone or face to face
§ Advise and assist the business in minimising legal and contractual compliance in risk in respect of its external customers and supplier contracts, projects and other business activities
§ Supporting the other members of the Business Office team
§ Knowledge on certain laws such as; bribery, export control, GDPR and modern slavery and managing the company’s responses to such areas
Specific responsibilities
§ Supporting the Contracts Manager and/or Director with the above tasks
§ Providing redlined recommendations on contracts and responses to RFP’s
§ Providing guidance on impact to relevant areas of business
§ Negotiating contracts with our clients which may be by email, telephone or face to face
Minimum requirements
Essential -
· Education to degree level or equivalent professional development in a technical or legal area
· Working knowledge of contracts/contract law
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Consideration for the technical work undertaken by Cambridge Consultants
· Experience in a project management or legal/commercial role
Desirable -
· Knowledge on certain laws such as; bribery, export control, and/or GDPR
· Some understanding of intellectual property
