  • Type Full-time
  • Duration Permanent

We're a Cambridge-based team working on building the best Salesforce release management solution on the market, and we're looking for account executives to create lasting relationships with existing customers while generating new sales. We need someone who believes that providing a customer-focused sales experience is key to success.

In four short years we've grown to be the leader in our industry with three times the number of customers as our nearest competitor. Customers include Sonos, IBM, TripAdvisor and Salesforce themselves. And users love us, giving us a positive feedback score of 98%.

This is a highly consultative/technical role, requiring you to build a deep understanding of our users, development on the Salesforce platform and release management in general. As an Account Executive with Gearset, you'll join a rapidly-growing sales team where you can really make an impact, building on the strong values of collaboration and teamwork that has helped us achieve a 4.8/5 score on Glassdoor.

As an Account Executive in our mid-market team, you’ll work with our strong pipeline of inbound leads and also generate your own pipeline through prospecting and outreach. Your goal will be to bring new customers onto Gearset and make them successful. Our collective Account Executive team consistently exceeds target with an average attainment of 103% over the last two years, where rewarding and supporting sales performance is important to us.

As an Account Executive (Mid-market) at Gearset you’ll:

  •
  • Lead the full sales-cycle, from initial interest to deal close and coordinate collaboration cross-functionally with Customer Success & Pre Sales
  • Consult with prospects and existing customers regarding business objectives and requirements, frame the value of Gearset as a differentiated solution for those goals
  • Run product demos with prospective customers
  • Balance meeting sales targets with providing best-in-class customer experience and support
  • Suggest improvements to help your team optimise the sales process
  • Think critically about sales insights and data and experiment with new growth tactics.
  • Share ideas and coordinate with the marketing and development teams to discover new sales opportunities

What we're looking for:

  •
  • 3+ years of experience of selling a highly technical product
  • An ability to understand the value prop of a technical product, and run a great demo with the support of a solutions engineer
  • Strong pipeline management and forecasting
  • To think through the wider account opportunity and the TAM of an account
  • A natural ability to network and grow your presence in the Salesforce ecosystem through events and online channels
  • A customer-centric approach to sales

What we're looking for:

  • Salary: £42k - £65k base with a realistic OTE of £70k - £100k depending on experience
  • You'll work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday; based from our Cambridge office, but with the opportunity of flexible home working
  • Most of our customers are US based, so while you control your diary and work mostly UK hours, you'll be expected to make calls in the evening (up to 10pm) if that's when the customer is available
  • Company Pension Plan (matching up to 5%)
  • Bupa health care
  • Life Insurance & Critical Illness cover
  • Flexible working hours
  • Free lunch in the office
  • Discounted gym membership, as well as many other wellness benefits
