Smokers beware: nesting birds

  • Date 15 May 2017

As visitors and staff who work on the Cambridge Science Park know we like to the think of the park as being the home of innovation, human innovation that is.

What we didn’t count on is the wildlife finding a new use for the wall and fence mounted cigarette butt boxes in smoking areas. We’re aware of at least one box which has a nesting pair of blue tits inside so we’d ask smokers to continue to dispose of their cigarette butts responsibly but please do just double check there aren’t any birds inside the box you’re about to use.

Thank you.
