Science Park Health & Wellbeing Campaign January 2018

  • Date 2 Jan 2018

Kick-start 2018 by attending one or more of the varied health and well-being sessions we are hosting from 9 to 26 January. Open to everyone who works on the science park and all sessions are free.

FREE ACUPRESSURE MASSAGE

Seated acupressure massage is a natural healing discipline based on bodywork therapy. It uses massage techniques and works on pressure points to promote health, well-being and a re-vitalized feeling.

Acupressure loosens tense and knotted muscles, stimulating energy flow and promoting good health and well-being. Assisted stretches further enhance the feeling of relaxation.

Typically, people feel relaxed and refreshed, muscle tension eased, clearer and calmer with an enhanced ability to focus.

Regular acupressure at work minimizes stress levels, increases energy levels and supports work-based health and well-being programs with a high ‘feel-good’ factor!

Katherine is offering 6 x half hour sessions on Tuesday 16th January  and 4 half hour sessions on Tuesday 23rd January.

TALK

From protective to productive – how your brain holds you back from moving forwards

– a talk by Mari Williams, The Mind Architect

If you could wave a wand and wake up tomorrow without that thing that holds you back, either in business or personally, what would you choose to let go of? Fear of failure? Lack of confidence? Lack of motivation? ALL behaviour is protective, but not all that behaviour is positive and healthy. Come and find out why your brain keeps ‘doing’ those behaviours or thoughts that hold you back, no matter how hard you try to change them. How do your past experiences affect who you are today and how easy is it to resolve them? In my talk I’ll be giving you the answers to the questions above so that you too can begin to move forward to where you want to be.

Tuesday 16th Jan from 5.30 -6.30pm (we’ve moved this to the auditorium at the Bradfield Centre to meet demand)

Tuesday 23rd Jan from 12.30 – 1.30pm
