Linguamatics receives the award for International Trade in recognition of outstanding growth in export sales across USA and Europe for its natural language processing (NLP)-based text analytics software platform. Over the past five years Linguamatics achieved growth in excess of 300 percent in overseas sales and staff growth of almost 200 percent.
Linguamatics continues to grow and attract new customers. This year, the company will increase its work force by over 25 percent, in both Europe and the US.
“From the beginning we recognized that international markets, especially the US and Europe, would be key to successful company growth. We have established and grown strong business relationships with many global multinational organizations, focusing on the high-value information problems faced by life sciences organizations and expanding into healthcare to meet meaningful use and big data challenges.”, said Phil Hastings, SVP Sales and Marketing at Linguamatics.
Linguamatics’ software platform, I2E, uses NLP to go beyond conventional search and understand the meaning of text. I2E delivers dramatically improved speed to actionable insight, using computer algorithms to automatically mine, analyze and connect relevant knowledge buried in vast amounts of textual data and generate higher quality, targeted results for better decision support.
Commenting on winning the award, Executive Chairman, John M. Brimacombe said, “Traditionally, the US has been a hard market for British companies to succeed in. But through the strength of our world-class technology and the outstanding team we have built, we have become a market-leader. Cambridge has an international reputation for excellence and we are proud to be a successful Cambridge technology company, flying the flag for innovation in the UK”.
