Accessing non-dilutive finance from the US for life sciences R&D

Billions of US-based non-dilutive dollars are awarded annually across scientific fields, mainly stemming from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Defense (DOD), and other government sources.

In 2017, the NIH funded $1.3B to over 1000 projects taking place outside the US. When taking into account collaborations and partnerships between domestic and foreign entities, the funded R&D dollars outside the US exceeded the above.
