2011 Cambridge Fun Run

  • Date 9 Nov 2011

It’s time to get in training again – the Cambridge Fun Run will take place at the Cambridge Science Park on 18 November 2011.

A total of 143 teams and over 550 runners took part in last year’s race, raising the record sum of £21,540 for BBC Children in Need.

Our challenge for 2011 is to break that record again.

Following the success of last year’s event, the format will remain largely the same.

The race is open to teams of 4 runners who run either a 4-lap relay or a single lap as a group, often in fancy dress, although keen athletes have been known to do all four laps on their own.

You can create your own ‘team’ sponsorship page on Virgin Money, Just Giving and other online fundraising sites. Last year, one team raised £730 between them and won four Nokia N8 smartphones.

This year, winning is even easier – any team registering a sponsorship page is automatically entered into the prize draw.
