Senior Product Manager (Maternity Cover 9-12 months)

About the role

Are you an experienced Product Manager looking to drive the continuous improvement program of a portfolio? 

This is a unique opportunity to work in a high-growth, fast-paced environment, and contribute by driving the company’s product continuous improvement program which encompasses working with multiple departments (marketing, supply chain, logistics and sales channels) to deliver growth. As the product manager you will be responsible for presenting recommendations on strategic decisions to key stakeholders through data insight and analysis and managing the development and delivery of the recommended strategies, along with continuous monitoring and optimization.

We need someone who is a forward thinker, with strong analytical skills. You’ll have previous product management experience within a life science company, with a passion for problem solving and identifying innovative solutions to business challenges. To succeed in this role – a life sciences degree is essential.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Continue to lead the implementation of Abcam’s long-term quality strategy.
  2. Based upon best practice, recommend and drive continuous improvement policies across all product ranges. 
  3. Manage and monitor the process for end of life products.
  4. Create and develop dashboards to drive effective decision-making processes.
  5. Using big data analysis to drive tactical activities. 
  6. Provide regular up-dates of the initiative to relevant stakeholders (Board, ELT and relevant Abcam departments). 
  7. Work with Finance Business Partner team to develop KPI metrics.
  8. Focus on market feedback, monitor and assist the team to address any issues.
  9. Work with Operational excellence team to ensure all product quality activities (product and infrastructure) are aligned.

About you

You will have proven experience (2-4 years) of driving improvement projects for a large number of products. You will have firsthand knowledge in product management. 

The successful candidate will have strong organisational and project management skills, and have a high level of analytical and numerical skills. 

You will be customer focused, with excellent communication skills. Your are able to deal with a flexible working environment, and are flexible to meet the demands of the role.
