The Royal Society of Chemistry is looking for an intern to work as a science writer for our editorial office and gain experience working for our flagship publication Chemistry World. You will need to be able to suitably work from home, as well as travel to our Cambridge office and within the UK, if required.
This opportunity will provide a hands-on introduction to the editorial process, from writing and editing to page layout and printing and is available on a paid, full-time basis for eight weeks, supported by the Marriott Bequest Trust.

With an interest in science communication, you will demonstrate an enthusiasm for writing and will probably be coming to the end of, or will have recently completed, your chemical science degree or postgraduate course. If you don’t have any available samples, compose and include some of your own Chemistry World-style news pieces based on recent journal papers or current events.
