What are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly skilled Research Associate to help us scaling-up our preparation of Molecular Biology reagents. The right candidate will believe nothing is impossible, and that given the right opportunity, their hard work and adaptability will allow them to achieve the highest standards, delivering world-class science, commercial success, patient impact.

At Mogrify, you will:

  • Perform a variety of molecular biology tasks, including PCR, cloning, DNA preparation, as well as preparing reagents to be used by the wider cell technologies team;
  • Work with mammalian cells lines, performing routine cell culture, maintaining the culture of core cell lines;
  • Generate viral preparations and viral load characterization;
  • Perform both specialist and day-to-day laboratory work with extreme care, organize your own workload efficiently to meet demand and operate with limited supervision;
  • Support wider project teams and complete assigned tasks in an efficient and precise manner;
  • Troubleshoot your own experiments, learning new techniques and perform multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Keep accurate data records, follow instruction and comply with company procedures.

Research Associate profile:

  • Recent BSc/MSc graduate in a relevant area with at least 1 year of follow-on experience;
  • Team player, self-motivated with positive thinking with a “can-do” attitude;
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills;
  • The following skills are ideal for this position:
    • Mammalian tissue culture
    • PCR, plasmid cloning, DNA preparation and bacterial cultures
    • Generation and purification of viral preparations
    • Transfection and transfection of mammalian cells
    • Flow cytometry knowledge would be beneficial, but not essential
