Regional Marketing Manager

An opportunity has arisen in our Marketing team for a Regional Marketing Manager. Reporting to our Senior Manager Regional Marketing, you will provide marketing support to guide the development of tactical marketing plans for Europe.

 

Your duties will include:

  • Owning the regional marketing process and delivering plans to achieve revenue goals
  • Understanding of the European market for FISH and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), cancer and constitutional genetic testing markets
  • Developing successful action plans to maximise sales
  • Organising customer events, acting as marketing lead for conferences and seminars, to generate awareness, interest, desire, action and loyalty in the target market
  • Contributing to the process that helps deliver Unique Selling Propositions (USPs) for defined target markets
  • Delivering internal and external training, as required
  • Developing promotional plans for new product launches and champion their success
  • Spending a minimum of 1 day per week or equivalent facing / virtually prospective customers/ customer base
  • Input into the strategic marketing for new product development, analysing market, proposing and providing input into future product developments
  • Owning and maintaining technology database, understanding local competitive landscape
  • Acting as a champion and owner of results in area of responsibility

 

You will:

  • Hold a BSc degree or equivalent as a minimum, up to PhD in a Molecular Biology discipline
  • Have comprehensive knowledge, and a keen interest in developing applications, new technology and uptake in clinical and diagnostic applications
  • Have demonstrable experience in FISH and NGS in a customer focused environment with the ability to talk the geneticists’ language
  • Have a proven track record in sales or marketing to cytogenetics and/or clinical molecular genetics, diagnostics or cancer genetics market and engagement with Key Opinion Leaders and senior stakeholders
  • Have a solid track record of marketing such as product management, regional marketing or strategic marketing (desirable)
  • Use your scientific knowledge to engage with customers
  • Be an effective communicator both in writing and verbally with persuasive presentation skills

Direct experience in clinical molecular genetics, clinical cytogenetics or cancer genetics, lab-based experience in genomic technologies such as NGS, microarrays, cytogenetics/cancer would be desirable for this role.
