The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) seeks a Project Administrator to join our Technology Business Relationship and Project Management teams.

 

As Project Administrator: Technology, you will support our Business Relationship Management team, and more frequently, our Project Management team in delivering technology-based projects to the Royal Society of Chemistry and your core accountabilities will include: 

  • Taking accurate notes at key project meetings.
  • Promptly recording and communicating actions to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Arranging project meetings with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Contributing to maintaining and updating risks, issues, plans and project documentation.
  • Project reporting and updating the Project Portfolio. 

This is a full-time (35-hour week) 24-month fixed-term contract role, conveniently based at the RSC’s Cambridge Science Park office, with free onsite parking and close to the guided bus and Cambridge North train station.

We are looking for:

 

Essential: 

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good team working skills and a professional approach with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Competent in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Previous Administration experience.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise your own workload and be able to meet deadlines in a flexible manner.
  • GCSE grades A-C. 

Desirable: 

  • Experience of working in an Information Technology environment.
  • Experience of working in a Project Management environment.
  • Prince 2 Foundation qualification.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Project.
  • An understanding of Portfolio and Programme Management (PPM).
  • A levels (or equivalent) or degree.
