We’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic software developer with artistic flair and excellent web development skills to join our software team and build the next generation web interface for our industry-leading all-optical network switch.
About the Role
HUBER+SUHNER Polatis is the world leader in the design and manufacture of energy-efficient, all-optical switching solutions that connect optical fibres directly to make networks more flexible, agile and reliable.
We sell the largest all-optical switch on the market with up to 384 fibre connections and our users need efficient workflows to configure, monitor and manage these network elements. Your challenge will be to design the next generation of web interface to meet our customers’ needs, presenting information and actions in a clear, intuitive and elegant way.
This is a new and exciting role where you will need to work independently within our embedded software team, collaborating closely with our Back-End developers. You’ll design, implement and maintain the web application and appropriate software tests.
By way of background you will need to have the following:-
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Proven track record of having successfully delivered development projects
- The following skills are essential:
- CSS / SASS
Ideally you’ll also have exposure to:
- Responsive Web Design for Industrial Applications
You’ll be keen to show us your portfolio and able to explain your contribution to each project.
You’ll also need to be a strong team player with the ability to concisely communicate your ideas.
