Chemistry is beautiful and well-organised – so we need our digital asset library to match up. If you love working with fantastic imagery and bringing order to chaos, our new Digital Asset Management Executive role based in Cambridge might be perfect for you.

You will design the meta schema in Asset Bank from scratch before rolling out the system to the rest of our organisation. You’ll then manage the whole system – permissions, keywording, captioning, curation and training – making sure our staff can easily access high quality, well-tagged and correctly licensed photos, videos, animations and illustrations.

We create lots of superb digital assets and on a day-to-day basis you’ll be responsible for making sure it’s quickly and correctly tagged, licensed and stored.

You will work with a team professionals responsible for a creative and production service for the whole organisation – producing everything from eye-catching exhibition stands to award-winning magazines and everything in between – and support other areas of the business to use assets in the system.

The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) is the world’s leading chemistry community, advancing excellence in the chemical sciences. The UK’s professional body for chemical scientists with over 54,000 members worldwide, we are a £50m-turnover not-for-profit organisation with over 500 staff operating around the world and an award-winning global knowledge business. For 175 years we have promoted, supported, and celebrated chemistry. We work to shape the future of the chemical sciences – for the benefit of science and humanity.

We have an exceptional diversity of audiences—from teachers, scientists and academics, librarians and corporates to politicians and the public. Our work includes activities focused on our role as a professional body (e.g. supporting members), a publisher (e.g. selling journals, books and databases), and as the voice of the chemical science community (e.g. campaigning to influence government policy).

At the RSC we offer an excellent benefits package, including a standard 35-hour week:http://www.rsc.org/about-us/work-for-us/#benefits.
