Account Manager, Text Analytics Software for Biomedical & Healthcare Applications, Europe

Linguamatics is an established, multi-award winning, leading provider of AI based text mining solutions with an emphasis on high value biomedical and healthcare applications. Thanks to a great company culture, teamwork and innovative use of natural language processing (NLP) technology; our software is acknowledged as the leading solution in the pharmaceutical, biotech and healthcare industries and is used by most of the top 20 global pharmaceutical companies, major health systems, and governmental organizations such as the FDA and NIH. We are now looking for an account manager to help drive the growth of our business in Europe.

Key tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Develop new business across multiple clients and territories in Europe, principally in the pharmaceutical, biotech and healthcare industries
  • Seek and develop new leads, progress them through the sales cycle, negotiate and close licensing and professional services deals
  • Develop and enhance new customer relationships and proactively develop new business opportunities within established customers
  • Travel to customer sites and trade shows to present the Linguamatics solution and its benefits
  • Work closely with other parts of the Linguamatics organisation in the UK and US to ensure maximum customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Direct sales experience, including winning new customers and account management in the pharma/biotech or healthcare sectors
  • Experience of selling complex technical solutions, including software, SaaS, and professional services, with ability to recognise new business opportunities
  • Experience of dealing with multinational organisations
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Education to at least BS/BA level in a relevant discipline
  • Ability to travel with a clean or low risk driving license
  • Experience with some of the following is desirable but not essential:
    • - Familiarity with search, text mining, analytical, or informatics software
    • - Established contacts in the pharma/biotech and/or healthcare industries
    • - Track record of selling and closing deals at the enterprise level
    • - Track record of building and maintaining long term customer relationships
