Rowan is a small, vibrant, registered charity, providing a unique arts-centre for adults with learning disability in Cambridgeshire. We believe that people living with a disability should have the same choice, quality of life, opportunities and aspirations as others.
Since 1984 we have provided a safe, creative, enriching and welcoming environment where the arts are used as a tool to bring people together, reducing loneliness, helping tackle social exclusion, whilst developing potential and improving happiness, health and wellbeing.
We run a wide range of creative workshops, including woodwork, ceramics, textiles, print, mixed media, drama and music. In 2020 we launched ‘Rowan Rangers’, our very own Forest School.
We are the only dedicated arts centre for people with learning disability in Cambridgeshire.
We approach life as an adventure, with humour, passion, optimism and fun and aim to make life interesting, enjoyable and fulfilling by providing choices and a sense of purpose for local people with learning disability.
