Successful Local Business relocates to Cambridge Science Park

Medical Device Usability (MDU), a human factors consultancy focused on testing pharmaceutical and medical devices, celebrates the New Year with a move to the desirable Cambridge Science Park.

MDU, founded in Cambridge in 2011, is ready for a busy first quarter of testing for clients in the US and the UK. The expanding business will benefit from having offices located closer to pharmaceutical, medical device and engineering firms on the Science Park which will also provide good transport links for clients from London and further afield.

Richard Featherstone, founder and CEO of MDU, said: “This is a great move putting us at the heart of cutting-edge engineering and scientific development in Cambridge.

“The company has flourished over the last six years and now seems the ideal opportunity to move to bigger premises on the Science Park with all the planned development going on there.

“The field of Human Factors and usability continues to grow and our expansion demonstrates MDU’s position at the forefront of device testing.”

MDU works on a wide range of pharmaceutical and medical devices for clients across the globe carrying out crucial usability testing at both the formative and validation stages of the development process before submissions are sent to regulators such as the FDA, MHRA and the EMA.
