Catalyst is the free newsletter for tenants and other interested parties to stay updated on the changes and developments on the Science Park from new companies to new product developments.

ERBI

ERBI is the biotechnology network for Cambridge and the East of England. It is an industry-led membership organisation, launched in 1997, and is administered by a Board of Directors and guided by a Steering Group representative of the biotech cluster and ERBI sponsors.

These groups include:

  • Local biotech company Directors
  • International pharmaceutical and food companies
  • Research institutes
  • Professional service providers to the industry
  • Other organisations such as Invest East of England and EEDA

The Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (CfEL)

The Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning at the Judge Institute of Management was launched on 1st September 2003 with a mission to ‘Spread the spirit of Enterprise’ by providing educational activities to inspire and build skills in the practice of entrepreneurship.

The Science Park HR Group

A support network for HR managers/representatives, provides a forum for sharing of common issues/problems, discussion of best practice, updates on legislation, and the opportunity to offer support to each other in what can often be a solitary role. The group meets every month over lunch.

Biology in Business (BiB)

BiB is a Park and University-wide organisation focusing on career development and the exploitation of novel technologies applicable to the life sciences. BiB organises formal and informal events, including the region’s only careers fair for life scientists (CoiLS).

The 4Bio Network

This is an informal network focused on commercial management issues for Cambridge Science Park companies involved in the biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and life-science sectors. Meetings take place every two months, usually on the first Wednesday of the relevant month at 5pm at the Trinity Centre.

The European Chapter of the Lab Robotics Interest Group

This is a forum for the exchange of ideas on robotics and programmable automation. Regular meetings bring together scientists, engineers, users and vendors of equipment and instruments.
