IT Support Engineer


The role will be very hands-on. Day-to-day duties will primarily comprise helpdesk and desktop support to a variety of IT competence levels.

The successful candidate will ideally be an IT graduate with a minimum of a 2:2 in an IT related discipline, though candidates in a related field or with relevant experience will be considered. The candidate will also have excellent communication skills, both oral and written combined with a strong desire to start your IT career. Experience in a commercial helpdesk environment would be beneficial, but not essential.

The candidate should have experience of PC hardware maintenance and repairs, experience of Microsoft Windows 7 and ideally MacOS, excellent attention to detail, have a can-do attitude and good organisational skills.

Duties will include handling new support requests from initial diagnosis to resolution, installation and support of a wide range of Microsoft Windows desktop software, building and rebuilding PC and laptop deployments and the distribution and configuration of game developments kits and peripherals.

There will be a requirement for lifting IT equipment such as PCs, printers, monitors and other associated hardware.
