We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join our Manufacturing team based in Cambridge, UK.
Responsibilities: Owlstone products contain electronic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and software subsystems. The Manufacturing Technician will be principally responsible for assembling these systems.
Prior experience of electro-mechanical assembly, excellent attention to detail and an appreciation of “Quality” in a manufacturing environment are absolutely essential for this role.
Activities will be varied and include: • Assembly of products including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and software subsystems. • QC inspection of incoming materials • Testing of subsystems and components, including micro-chips. • Daily part cleaning as required • Weekly monitoring of critical spares & consumable stocks • Packing instruments for shipment to customers The candidate will be expected to follow company procedure at all times, report all non-conforming materials and work in a safe and responsible manner.
Skills: • Experience of assembling electro-mechanical products • Basic mechanical assembly skills • Good attention to detail • Good dexterity (handling microchips with tweezers) • Appreciation of “Quality” in a manufacturing environment • Basic PC skills (Microsoft excel) • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Team player
