Abcam, a global and innovative biotechnology company, is currently looking for a Scientific Products Administrator who will be responsible for quality checks of new product datasheets and protocol booklets (WB, IHC, ICC, Flow Cytometry images) as well as validating data for our existing product portfolio.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Science Graduate with either data validation, solid administration or lab experience, to join our growing business. Full training on our processes will be provided.
This is a 6-months contract position and can be office or home-based. You will need to be able to attend meetings and training in our Cambridge office as and when required.
About Product Data Integration (PDI) Department at Abcam
The team is made of a dozen of driven and passionate individuals, working closely together to ensure our product data is the most scientifically correct and up to date, while continuously striving to expand our product portfolio to allow our customers, to discover more, faster.

Roles & responsibilities:
- Check and validate datasheets providing our customers with the most up to date data.
- Compile/check datasheets and protocol booklets to ensure they contain all information required by customers and adhere to our guidelines.
- Review images received from our partners to ensure our strict quality standards are upheld.
- Searching and adding Abcam specific references and images used in academic papers.
- Work proactively towards weekly KPIs.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute toward our needs to continually improve our processes and product information.
You are an enthusiastic and motivated individual having acquired scientific knowledge through achieving a Science Degree. In addition, you need to have had a first experience in an office environment dealing with product validation / data related / administration experience or in a lab environment dealing with one of the relevant antibody-based applications (Western Blot (WB), IHC, ICC, FC).
You must have strong communication skills, open to constructive feedback, and are a real team player as the team work closely together and liaise with a variety of stakeholders. You are confident with using MS-Office daily and have a meticulous attention to detail.
Strong time management and organisational skills are key as team priorities do change regularly according to business needs and you will need to adapt your workload to suit these.
