About the role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Copy-Writer who is passionate about generating useful and engaging content for life sciences researchers around the world. Working closely with colleagues in the content marketing team and across the marketing department, you will be responsible for writing and editing content for the website, emails and social media, as well as producing offline materials. Topics written about will include neuroscience, epigenetics and cancer, experimental techniques and specific product lines. You will also work closely with the Campaign manager to ensure global campaigns are coordinated and produced efficiently
About Digital Marketing at Abcam
Abcam’s Digital Marketing function sits within the wider CX organisation and offers a variety of specialist talent to support teams across the business, including data insight analysis, SEO/PPC, content, communications, co-ordination and delivery. Through an array of channels, the team translates campaign briefs and marketing propositions into real content that drives engagement across the bioscience industry.
Working closely with areas such as Category Marketing, Website Development and Commercial Sales, the team are creative, solution focused and results driven. They use the best tools available to help us truly understand our customers and their behaviour to maximise our digital online business and opportunities.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Writing and editing compelling content on a range of topics
- Ensuring content is tailored for different channels and audiences
- Ensure content is produced to agreed schedules and deadlines
- Supporting the global campaign process
- CMS management
You should be an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is energised about digital and content marketing. You are a keen writer who enjoys writing compelling, well-structured content for a technical audience. You should be experienced in ensuring the content produced by yourself or others is accurate, concise, engaging and in line with style and brand guidelines.
You should have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) an eye for detail, and be highly organised with an ability to work to tight deadlines. You should be someone who takes initiative and is results oriented.
A life science background is essential.
Previous experience in copy writing, editing digital content such as articles, blogs, emails and technical content is an advantage.
