Industry Executive

We are looking for an Industry Executive to work with our Small Companies Programme Manager to deliver the Enterprise Plus initiative. You will provide support to the 90+ companies already signed up to Enterprise Plus, and assist with developing additional support services, e.g. training and to achieve the growth target as detailed in the Industry Strategy. You will be working with colleagues across departments as well as liaising with external stakeholders to advance the Industry Strategy, and in particular small companies objectives in the UK and internationally.

Your responsibilities will focus on:
•Project manage activities related to skills and training in the small companies programme.
•Develop and project manage a programme of key events for small companies, such as business networking events and specialist webinars, in collaboration with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
•Work with programme managers to set up and deliver a new European project for small companies.
•Liaise with events and marketing teams to deliver high levels of attendance at the events.
•Write web content to improve the information offered to small companies.
•Work closely with Programme Managers, and other internal stakeholders to ensure all activities meet the needs of users and conform to Royal Society of Chemistry standards.
We are looking for:
•A degree in chemical science is desirable, a related science degree or equivalent is essential.
•Customer focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills (particularly verbal and written skills).
•Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a diverse team and on your own.
•Good project and time management skills including the ability to plan and prioritise work, and to meet deadlines under pressure.
•Excellent IT skills and abilities.
•Experience of writing for the internet, familiarity with emerging media and technologies, including the use of social media.
•Experience in or understanding of chemical industry and/or business in general.
•Demonstrable experience in developing or organising events.
•Experience of commissioning from and working with external partners and contractors.
