FlexEnable wins place at UK’s largest innovation show

  • Date 30 Sep 2016

FlexEnable has pioneered a flexible electronics technology platform that allows electronics to be manufactured on flexible plastic film, the thickness of a sheet of paper. It can be used for the manufacture of glass-free, flexible displays and sensors with versatile applications in sectors including consumer electronics, automotive, digital signage, medical and security. The company has already achieved several breakthroughs with flexible colour and video-rate plastic displays (LCD and OLED) and flexible X-ray image and fingerprint sensors.

Chuck Milligan, CEO of FlexEnable, said: “We are delighted that FlexEnable has been recognised as one of the top 100 innovators in the UK. As world leaders in the industrialisation of flexible electronics, our focus is on enabling new product paradigms with glass-free flexible displays and sensors that are driven by our cutting-edge technology platform. ”

Innovate UK Chief Executive Ruth McKernan said: “Innovate 2016 will be an excellent opportunity for FlexEnable to showcase their cutting edge innovation to a national and international audience. I congratulate FlexEnable on their success in winning a place and look forward to their involvement in our annual flagship show of innovation excellence across the UK.”

Innovate 2016 is the UK’s largest multi-sector innovation event and is organised by Innovate UK and the Department for International Trade. It is set up to create opportunities for export and investment for the UK’s most innovative companies.
