FlexEnable has been announced as a finalist by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) for their 2016 Innovation Awards.
Following entries from 25 countries in the 15 award categories, FlexEnable was shortlisted for the Emerging Technology Design and Start-up categories in recognition of its ground breaking flexible electronics technology.
FlexEnable has pioneered a flexible electronics technology platform that allows electronics to be manufactured on flexible plastic film, the thickness of a sheet of paper. It can be used for the manufacture of glass-free, flexible displays and sensors with versatile applications in sectors including consumer electronics, automotive, digital signage, medical and security. The company has already achieved several breakthroughs with flexible colour and video-rate plastic displays (LCD and OLED) and flexible X-ray image and fingerprint sensors.
FlexEnable will join other finalists in London on 16 November, at a prestigious awards dinner and ceremony. Rob Bell, presenter of Underground Britain and Engineering Giants, will announce the winners.
