Come and take part with the West Anglian Orienteering Club, getting fit and learning useful skills such as map reading. Orienteering – thinking running – is navigating to set points at your own pace.
Open to everyone, including family members of all ages, starts will be from 6.15 to 7.30 pm from the Trinity Centre car park. If you have one bring along a compass; friendly help with map reading will be on hand. Wear clothing suitable for jogging on paths and grass. Entry £3 for adults and groups using one map, £1 for juniors
There will be four courses – long (5 km), medium (3.5 km), medium for juniors (3km with no road crossing), and short (1.5 km, suitable for novices). If you’re thinking of coming along it would be helpful, but not essential, to let the organiser Peter Allen know in advance by emailing email, so that enough maps can be printed.
