Founded in Cambridge in 1970 by two of the current directors, from the Cambridge University Engineering Department.

Design and manufacture of computer hardware and software used for acquisition and analysis of complex waveform and event data. CED’s programmable high-performance peripheral analogue interfaces and signal conditioners, and Windows-compatible software packages are used mainly by life scientists and engineers.
